The Viviana Pebble is a compact body-worn antenna designed to reduce the impact of the human body on RF transmission. With traditional whip antennas, a significant portion of RF energy is absorbed by the body when the transmitter is worn close to it, resulting in reduced range and inconsistent signal performance.
The Pebble combines an integrated ground plane with patented BodyWave technology to direct RF energy away from the body and allow it to propagate around it rather than into it. This improves radiation efficiency and reduces signal loss caused by body absorption.
In practical use, particularly when the transmitter is on the opposite side of the body from the receiver, this results in a more stable signal and increased usable range. Independent measurements show a clear gain advantage in directions where the body would normally attenuate the signal.
Main Features
